About the Artist

"My shadow in my art is one way I trace who I was and where I have been. My shadow and I have been on a journey for quite a while now!" —Angela Cartwright

Aaron is a Michigan native and has been a metal artist and sculptor with more than two decades' experience in the machining industry, specializing in Automotive, Motorcycle, and Aerospace design; prototyping, production planning, and manufacture. One passion that has always been part of Aaron’s life has always been Star Wars, Film and building/Racing Motorcycles. Having survived a near fatal motorcycle accident in 2005, and while doing physical therapy to be able to use his arm again for a few years, he turned his gaze back to the objects of his career with a deep intensity.

Aaron, the owner and artist of the Film Replica and Prop company, Solo's Hold (a homage to one of the most captivating and influential characters in the Star Wars Universe), is the exception.  Aaron makes what are by far some of the most intricate and ambitious Replicas and working props produced in the United States. But none are clones of other people's works; they're inspired by the tough, durable mentality of the Artist's roots in industrial America, and a deep commitment to the Characters they represent.
In recent years Solo’s Hold has collaborated with other Prop companies around the world to bring some of the most ambitious and intricate works of art to life both on and off screen.

Often imitated but never duplicated, Aaron’s unique craftsmanship sets the gold standard for Film Prop, and Replicas everywhere.
